We're Hiring - Team Leader
We are a small, family owned business located in Coffin Bay, South Australia and have been farming Pacific Oysters since the early 90's.
We run and maintain a modern oyster farming operation, with well maintained vessels, equipment and infrastructure.
We are seeking applications for a Team Leader, (with opportunities for further growth within the company), who will report directly to the Managing Director.
This is a hands on position and we are looking for a candidate with the following ;
- Coxswains
- Proven experience in the oyster industry
- Confident leader and communicator with great organisational skills and a can do attitude
- Physically fit and motivated
- Car/Forklift Licence
- Mechanical Knowledge
- Basic knowledge in computer use (eg Outlook, Excel).
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and working with a team on the water and on land
- Operating vessels, forklifts and farm equipment
- Farm/Equipment Maintenance
- Grading, sorting and handling oysters to achieve quality and production targets
- Assisting with harvesting and general farm operations
- Following all safety and hygiene practices
- Maintaining computer based farm records
- Any other duties as required in the day to day running of operations.
This is a full time position, and remuneration is dependent on experience.
A new company supplied vehicle is offered to the successful applicant, along with incentives based on performance (subject to a probationary period).
