Viticulture and winemaking was reborn into the 4th generation Rathjen family when Whistling Eagle was established by Ian Rathjen in 1995. The vineyard is situated in the Heathcote wine Region’s, famous for its Cambrian Soils of the Mt William fault. Ian Rathjen approach to winemaking and viticulture is harmony and balance.
