Blind tastings have a way of humbling everyone - including us.

So we were pretty chuffed to hear that our Pinot Noir Four 2018 held its own alongside some serious company, even coming out as Wine of the Night, with more than one taster picking it for an aged Burgundy.

We’re genuinely honoured to be poured alongside wines like these, let alone mistaken for one.

Winter = quiet vines, busy winery ❄️

When we’re not out pruning, there’s plenty happening inside - bottling, labelling, checking in on wine still resting in barrel. Every stage handled by hand, by the same small team that tends the vines.

Handcrafted doesn’t stop at the vineyard gate.

One photo. That’s all that made it out of last night’s dinner at Al Dente Enoteca .

The spaghetti alla chitarra deserved it. So did the scallops, the duck breast (Mark’s favourite), and the bottles we opened with friends - including bottle of 2019 Whole Bunch Shiraz.

But with friends, food and wine so good, how can you help but live in the moment?

2020 Shiraz - 96 Halliday Points!

Safe to say we’re pretty chuffed with Philip Rich’s review of 2020 Shiraz:

“Made from a single plot planted in Coldstream in 2003; co-fermented with 2% viognier. Matured in barriques (30% new) and older puncheons. Expressive and perfumed. Aromas of red and blue fruits, floral and with a little tapenade and incense. This is both elegant and concentrated on the palate, and the tannings are beautifully woven into the fruit. A class act that will continue to blossom over the next six to 10 years.”
