2020 Shiraz - 96 Halliday Points!

Safe to say we’re pretty chuffed with Philip Rich’s review of 2020 Shiraz:

“Made from a single plot planted in Coldstream in 2003; co-fermented with 2% viognier. Matured in barriques (30% new) and older puncheons. Expressive and perfumed. Aromas of red and blue fruits, floral and with a little tapenade and incense. This is both elegant and concentrated on the palate, and the tannings are beautifully woven into the fruit. A class act that will continue to blossom over the next six to 10 years.”

Our Tasting Room will be closed for the Good Friday holiday. But for those in the Valley over the long weekend we’ll be operating normal trading hours for Saturday and Sunday, so please stop in for a tasting.

PIMPERNEL PINOT TASTING: TIME & TERROIR

Join us for a Pinot Noir experience that showcases this variety’s evolution here at Pimpernel. This educational tasting takes you through a curated selection of Pimpernel wines, from current release to rarely seen museum offerings, exploring how the variety transforms across sites, in the glass and in the cellar.

Tastings are seated and run at set times on Saturday and Sunday. They are led by our knowledgeable staff, who will offer insight into our history, viticulture and winemaking practices. Book via the link in the bio. This experience runs until April 26.
