Does anyone in Launceston know this guy?
We can see one of our kegs for sale in the stack.
It's worth a lot more than $30 and would be a waste to turn it into a fire pit.
If anyone knows him and can get it back without paying (cos it's not his keg to sell) there's a hoodie in it for you when I come up to Launceston next.

We like to try something new each Bicheno Food and Wine Festival. It's the first pouring of this new beer for us.
Old world style, like most of our beers, our preference being the refined oldies we are.

Mark has brewed a Witbeir (white beer for the non- bilinguals).
Straw coloured and hazy from the three types of wheat in the mash, and of course the witbier yeast. White, creamy head. Great length.

Hopefully we'll see you on Saturday at the Festival.

As the seasons change, so do our beers on tap at local venues in Coles Bay.
Our Belgian Golden Ale is now on tap at Iluka Tavern - Coles Bay and Edge of the Bay Restaurant.
We're also pouring it this Saturday at the Bicheno Food and Wine Festival.

On days following brewing we like to take time out to recover. One favourite escape is Milton Vineyard and the fab food from Tara and Cale from A Tale Among the Vines.

Tig loves it there too. Running off that border collie energy, new smells and making new friends, chasing fairies, entertaining guests on the deck....

Do we buy him a bowl of twice cooked duck fat potatoes? Hmmm, perhaps.

How great do these look?
Fab idea from the Bicheno F&W organisers. Hopefully there's some left for us after taps close for the day. Doubt it though. We reckon they'll sell these out early.

Been a while since we've been on tap in Hobart.
Very pleased to have Devils Brewery, Tasmania at The Duke of Wellington in Hobart pouring our Creamy Irish Red Ale this week.
It's the only venue you'll find our Irish Red on tap in Hobart at the moment.
Such a great Tassie Winter Beer 🍺🍺🍺

Container refund recycling starts next week in Tasmania.
Sites are rolling out across Tasmania, with Swansea being the first on the East Coast. There's more sites to come in the rollout, so hopefully at least Bicheno will get a refund recycling point, especially if Coles Bay misses out.

We don't can or bottle our beers... yet, mostly being on tap in Coles Bay, so we're not part of the program, nor the problem this attemtps to solve. The capacity for recycling and waste management in Tasmania has always been a detractor for us in our decision to package. This could be a game changer for those like us, ethically opposed to contributing to waste generation by packaging their product. Watch this space.
