Thank You to all the Women that came before us
That Birthed the children
Plowed the fields
Tended the flocks and herds
Cared for the young the old and the injured
Led by Example
Did everything because it needed doing not because it was rewarded
For the "Behind the Scenes" work without which the world collapses
For being "Behind every great man"
For "Taking One For The Team" time and time again
For surviving a culture that took a lot and gave back very little
For surviving without a voice for so long
For fighting so that we can now be seen and heard
For your strength and intelligence and imagination and courage and grit and love

Super interesting couple of weeks watching the boys take the 440 baseline core samples for the soil carbon project we are doing with CarbonLink. There were plenty of challenges with terrain, rocks and gullies, flat tyres, snakes and then rain but Wati and Jimmy were absolute champions and got finished on time, we enjoyed their company and can't wait to see them in a few years time to do it all again!
