Hopefully the last piece of the puzzle before DA lodgement! 🤞🏡

A couple of weeks ago we had the ecologist out at Riverbend completing the site inspection for our Biodiversity Assessment 🌿🌳🦘

What we thought would be a fairly straightforward road to DA lodgement has definitely turned into a much longer journey than we ever expected! 😅📑

There always seems to be just one more report, assessment or requirement to tick off.

But we are getting there!

🙌 Hopefully this was one of the final pieces needed to get everything wrapped up and our DA finally lodged. 🤞🤞

For now, it might still just look like a patch of bush and a few pegs… but we can already picture our little house sitting right here. 🏡🌿

31 weeks 💙🌿

Another week closer to meeting our little Riverbend boy.

Xavier is 31 weeks today and definitely seems to be sitting a lot lower now! He is growing quickly, getting stronger and making sure we know he is there with plenty of kicks and wriggles. 💙

We spent some time out at Riverbend today enjoying the sunshine and the river. It is pretty special thinking that before too long, we will be bringing Xavier out here with us and watching him grow up on this beautiful piece of land. 🏡🌿

The cottage might be taking its sweet time, but this little guy certainly isn’t. 😂

And Harley clearly decided the 31-week bump photos needed him in them too. 🐾❤️

A little road trip to the coast 🌊☀️🐾

We swapped the mountains and river for sand and salt water this weekend and took the whole crew on a beach adventure. 🚙🐶🌊

It was Lola's very first trip to the beach and, well… she is still deciding whether she would like to go back. 😂 She confidently tried the water only to discover that beach water definitely does NOT taste like river water. The look of absolute betrayal afterwards said it all. 🤣🌊🐾

The rest of the crew had a great time exploring, getting their paws wet and enjoying a change of scenery.
And of course our littlest Riverbend adventurer came along for the ride too. 💙 Xavier is getting bigger by the week, and it won't be long before our road trips have one extra little passenger to introduce to the sand and sea. 🥰

A beautiful afternoon away together before heading back to our little patch of country. 🏡🌿

Although I am fairly certain Lola will be sticking to the Murrumbidgee from now on. 😂🐶💦

A special Father’s Day spent down by the river at Riverbend Cottage. 🌿

Next Father’s Day will look a little different, with our little Xavier here to join Dad, Mum and his furry siblings on all our Riverbend adventures. 🐾🤎

For now, he is growing away and already very much a part of our little family. 🥰

It has been a little quiet here at Riverbend lately, but there has been a very special reason. 🤎

There has been a lot happening behind the scenes and we have been keeping our biggest news to ourselves while we have been soaking it all in.

We are having a baby. 🥹🦊💙

When it came time to take a photo to share our news, this felt like the perfect place. Alpine Hotel This is the same place where we got married and celebrated the beginning of our life together and now we are standing here again getting ready to begin an entirely new chapter.

Our little boy, Xavier Fox, is due in December 2026. 🦊💙

Riverbend has always been about our life together, our animals, our adventures and everything we have been working towards and building along the way. Now, there is going to be one very special little person joining us for all of it.

There is so much happening at Riverbend at the moment and we cannot wait to start sharing more of it with you again.

But this is definitely the most exciting thing we have been growing. 🥹🤎🦊

We cannot wait to meet you, Xavier Fox. 💙
