Handmade Tchantchès & Nanesse puppets for sale!!

Tchantchès and Nanesse are the beloved folklore and puppet characters of Liège, Belgium. Tchantchès represents the stubborn, hard-drinking, yet good-hearted working-class citizen, while Nanesse is his sharp-witted, courageous female companion who keeps him grounded. The duo continues to be the beating heart of Liège culture, immortalized through traditional marionette theaters, popular carnival masks, giant street puppets, and statues. Locals and tourists frequently celebrate them during the annual August 15th festivities in Outremeuse.

Bring the spirit of Liege home with our iconic, handcrafted puppets!

Not long now before we head off to Adelaide to be part of Tasting Australia. We're super excited about this. Part of our amazing staff will keep the shop open in Coonalpyn at reduced hours, so please take note when travelling that we close earlier during these days.

The Walk of Memories was put together through the intergenerational Yarn Barn group of Careship Coorong. It showcases the quirky spots in our town, the stories behind places and some fun entertainment for kids
