We’re still smiling from last night, because our 2026 Pinot Noir Rosé has been awarded the Trophy for Best Rosé at the Limestone Coast W**e Show. 🏆🌸

This one has been a favourite around our Cellar Door for a while now, so seeing it recognised is a proud moment for the whole family. It’s made from 100% Coonawarra Pinot Noir, with a fragrant bouquet of crushed rose petals and wild strawberries, and a dry, vibrant palate that makes it so easy to pour on a sunny afternoon.

A big thank you to the team who looked after this w**e from vine to bottle, and to everyone who has already shared a glass of it with us. Now might be the perfect time to see what all the fuss is about.

Adelaide, we are coming back and we could not be more excited. 🍷🎉

We are absolutely thrilled to be heading to the Adelaide W**e Festival again this year, and if you've never been, this is the one to add to your November calendar.

Sunday 22 November at Morphettville Racecourse, from 12pm to 5pm. Over 50 w**eries, distilleries and breweries all under one roof, with every single tasting included in your ticket. The Cabernet Franc Trail is running for the rest of the month as part of the Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations, and it is one of those experiences that w**e lovers genuinely don't want to miss.

Cabernet Franc is the parent grape of Coonawarra's beloved Cabernet Sauvignon, ripening earlier and producing a beautifully distinctive set of flavours that are lighter, more aromatic and utterly compelling in their own right. W**emakers across the region are increasingly letting this variety shine on its own terms, and this trail is your chance to taste exactly why.

Follow the trail across six participating w**eries, collecting a stamp at each cellar door as you go, and you'll be in the draw to win a Cab Franc Pack at the end of the month. There is something truly special about tasting a w**e that someone has chosen just for you, and this October, that someone is Frank DiGiorgio himself. 🍷

Each day throughout October as part of the Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations, Frank is heading deep into the cellar to hand-select his favourite aged Cabernet Sauvignon and adding it to your six w**e tasting paddle. Compare it, contrast it and discover what makes a beautifully aged Coonawarra Cabernet so extraordinary.

Then build your own produce platter from a selection of fresh local produce, grab a picnic rug and settle in on the lawn with the vines stretching out ahead of you. Honestly, as far as October afternoons go, this one feels pretty close to perfect.

The Coonawarra Shuttle Bus is running this Saturday as part of the Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations, and it is honestly the best way to make a proper day of it across the region. Hop on, hop off at your own pace, and enjoy every pour without a single worry about the drive home.

The bus departs from The Globe Hotel in Mount Gambier at 10am, before commencing hourly loops through the Coonawarra W**e Region from 11am. Your day pass gives you unlimited travel, and the return trip heads back at 4pm.

Tickets start from $23.50 per person, and kids under 16 travel free when accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Just remember, tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Today, we pause to celebrate a man who shaped everything for our family.

Francesco DiGiorgio, our beloved Nonno, was born on 13th October 1906 in Secinaro, a small town nestled in the mountains of L'Aquila, Italy. He would have turned 120 this week, and his memory is as present in this family as it has ever been.

Before he ever set foot on Australian soil, Francesco had already lived a life full of hard work and quiet determination. He farmed his own land on the outskirts of Secinaro, growing wheat, corn and small pockets of vineyard planted with Muscat and Malvasia. He cut hay alongside his neighbours, collected firewood to sell in nearby towns and worked at the shipping yards in Toulon, France and Genoa. A man who never stopped, never complained and never did anything by halves.

In 1954, he made the extraordinary decision to leave everything he knew behind. He arrived at Sydney Port and travelled by bus to Brisbane, where his son Stefano was waiting to bring him home. He settled in Lucindale, rolled up his sleeves and got straight to work alongside the family, doing whatever needed to be done.

He loved his w**e, enjoyed making his own and later in life had a particular fondness for sweet cherry. He loved company, he loved a joke, and affectionately known as Pop, he had a way of letting the grandchildren get away with almost anything.

A gentleman. A man who loved his family above all else.

Happy Birthday, Nonno Francesco. We carry you with us in every bottle we make. 🍷
