ONE WEEK TO GO! ROUGE HOMME RELAUNCH

Next weekend the cellar door will be abuzz! Back vintage Rouge Homme w**es on sale, Roosters Rotisserie serving food and a day to celebrate the future of Rouge Homme.

These Rouge Homme w**es will be available to purchase by the glass or by the bottle over the weekend:

- 1969 Cabernet Sauvignon

- 1974 Claret

- 1985 Cabernet Sauvignon

- 1991 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

- 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon

Stock will be limited, so first in best drinks!

Cellar Door will be open from 10-4pm on Saturday and 11-4pm Sunday.

WOOF AND W**E WALK RETURNS 🐾

Back by PUP-ular demand, after a sell-out debut in 2025, Coonawarra’s Woof & W**e Walk is back - and this year, it’s becoming a whole weekend of w**e, food, wellness and four-legged fun.

Taking place across Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026, the Woof & W**e Weekend invites dog lovers to pack the lead, grab their walking shoes and experience Coonawarra with their best four-legged friend by their side.

The main event, the Woof & W**e Walk, returns on Saturday 14 November from 10.30am-4pm, taking participants on a relaxed, self-paced trail between six of Coonawarra’s iconic w**eries.

Along the way, guests can enjoy premium Coonawarra w**es, regional food and a collection of experiences created especially for dogs and their humans - from puppuccinos and puppy pedicures to paw-sonalised w**e labels, dog treats, market stalls and plenty of opportunities to stop, sip and enjoy the scenery.

Few names have done more to put Coonawarra on the w**e map than Rouge Homme. So it’s with real excitement that we welcome the brand home with a relaunch weekend at the Redman Cellar Door on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October.

Across the weekend, we’ll be pouring a rare selection of back vintage Rouge Homme w**es, available by the glass or by the bottle:

🍷 1969 Cabernet Sauvignon
🍷 1974 Claret
🍷 1985 Cabernet Sauvignon
🍷 1991 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon
🍷 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon

YOUNG GUN OF W**E - BEST AGED CABERNETS

Our 2018 Redman Cabernet was named as one of the finest aged Cabernets in a recent tasting by Young Gun of W**e.

In talking about w**es released with a little age the team noted “That’s the quiet culture behind Australia’s best museum-release w**es: not just w**e styles built to age, but a philosophy about what w**e is for. And few varieties put that philosophy to the test as directly as cabernet. It’s one of the most age-worthy red w**es in the world – and in Australia, a market that mostly drinks it young rarely gets to see what all that patience actually delivers.”

In reviewing our 2018 Cabernet the panel noted: “A total knockout in the most savoury way. Olive tapenade and brine, hard herbs, garrigue and intrigue. Earthy and gamey, this w**e rolls through with a brooding but beautifully balanced stride. A real stunner.”

You can find this exceptional release on our website, and it is also being sampled in Cellar Door throughout October.

This w**e is crafted with an eye to the future, reflecting the small, considered choices that come from an intimate understanding of the famous Coonawarra terra rossa soils. The Long Game often involves decisions best made in a family business, where building a sustainable future for the next generation is the ultimate goal.

The Long Game Cabernet Sauvignon will only be released in vintages we consider worthy. 2021 was such a vintage.

The 1959 Rouge Homme Cabernet Sauvignon is known as a landmark w**e here in coonawarra_w**e. It put Coonawarra on the Australian w**e map following a series of accolades won at Australian w**e shows.
