We’re very pleased to be showcasing one of our exciting new up-and-coming stud sires at our Open Day this year.
Hollycott Virtual Reality V16 is a standout young bull, offering loads of eye appeal, presence and genuine sire potential.
The result of a mating carefully selected by Mansfield Amaroo, V16 combines the power and performance of Fish Creek Farm Destiny with the maternal strength and reliability of Mainstream Eldorado. This pedigree offers access to some of the breed’s most highly regarded and prolific cow families, tracing back to the Baker bull on both sides.
V16 has performed at the top end of his contemporary group across multiple traits and is backed by outstanding structure, excellent docility, strong testicular development and an athleticism that’s hard to fault.
We are currently utilising him lightly as a backup bull in our AI program, including over a selection of heifers up for sale in the Great Southern Land Speckle Park sale.
He joins a stud bull inventory alongside the likes of AAA R07 and Hollycott T12, all of whom will be available for inspection on Open Day.
Bulls like this are best judged in the flesh — and we look forward to having V16 on display for inspection at Open Day.

They say you don’t always know you’ve got a great bull for many years, and with this guy, that has certainly proven true. Well known to those who follow our program, this exceptional sire needs little introduction. T12 was one of our standout young bulls a few years ago, utilised as a herd sire as a yearling before being sold into a commercial operation in winter 2024.
After watching his progeny perform post-sale, it quickly became clear he was a bull we shouldn’t have parted with. We were therefore delighted to secure him back into our program late last year.
T12 combines strong fundamentals — including a 40cm scrotal and sound structural scores — with added length carried fluidly through a tremendous topline, strong spring of rib and powerful neck extension. His calves consistently demonstrate low birth weights with impressive growth to weaning, clearly expressing the length and softness he transmits.
Prior to returning to us, T12 endured a rugged 12 months running alone with a large mob of cows through heavy drought conditions. His recovery over the past three months has been nothing short of impressive, gaining close to 3kg per day in pasture alone, to now sit over 800kg. With recent scan results showing fats at 4/4, we expect him to continue improving and finish around the 900–1000kg mark.
For pedigree enthusiasts, T12 is the flush brother to the dam of W13, one of our top up-and-coming cows here at Hollycott. He is sired by none other than AAA J7, making him a paternal half-brother to AAA N28. His dam, AAA L6, also features prominently in the female lines of some of our most outstanding animals, including AAA R06 — a multiple broad ribbon winner and elite donor female.
There is strength and consistency on both sides of this pedigree, and T12 has well and truly earned his place as a stud sire in our program. Length weighs and weight pays — don’t miss this opportunity.
This represents the first-ever release of semen and the only opportunity available this year, with the successful bidder offered the option to double the order to 12 straws.
