Harvesting Frames 1 and 6 from our Lilypad hive, 2 litres from each frame. I use a plastic covering on the Flow Hive in case the wind pipes up or a shower of rain appears. It works really well and it allows me to walk away for a half hour + while it drains.

The solar wax melter has almost done its job. Now it's time to remove the yellow wax from the melter and melt it again to make sure it's completely free of impurities. The wax is bright yellow as the debris has not been washed in water before melting. White wax is usually washed first then dried and placed into a melter.
