Hello everyone,
I just wanted to give you a quick update from the farm. It’s been an incredibly challenging few weeks with all the rain and flooding we’ve had in the area.
The constant downpours have left the field completely waterlogged. It’s been near impossible to get any machinery in, let alone do basic work or attend to the crops properly. The mud is everywhere—deep, sticky, and relentless.
Unfortunately, I’m really not sure if there’s going to be much of a harvest this season. The excess water has likely damaged a good portion of the crop, and I won’t know the full extent until things dry out a bit more. Right now, all I can do is wait and hope for better weather.
A few days of sunshine would make a world of difference—enough to get around, assess the damage, and figure out if there’s anything worth salvaging or selling. It’s been disheartening, to say the least, but I know I’m not the only one going through it.
Please keep us farmers in your thoughts and send some sunshine our way!
Thanks for your support,
Peter
