Patches was born in April 2021 and came to us with her first calf, “Chardonnay”, born February 2023. Chardonnay is our first Nguni F2
Chardonnay has had her first calf, “Whisky”, in October 2025. Our first F3

Moving the mob from the New Territories to the yards today. All done with virtual paddocks (VPs). Just draw a new one and close off behind them as they move.

They are up behind the house just now, eating the grass down beside the lawn and in an area where we are usually moving them more quickly. Be good to have it eaten down a bit so they don’t dawdle as much when we move them past this spot next time. Also for fire safety.

Cows all looking good except the older droughtmasters. I will worm them when we get to the yards and see if that helps. It has been very wet (as usual), so the green feed may not be ideal for them.

New cattle trailer from Stonegate. Gross is 3500kg. Will carry 2300kg of cattle. Comes with a ramp and railings. Also has one internal division and the whole back gate can swing.
Pretty impressed.
