Finally roe on scallops have come back down in price. So @ Port Douglas Takeaway we've got hand battered or crumbed roe on scallops for $3.50 each.
Goes good with our local line caught Spanish Mackerel (thanks to the legends from the Condamine). And why not add a battered soft shell crab for a feed that would make Posidan proud.

I read somewhere, a young man knows the rules, but an old man knows the exception to the rule. That was just before, rules are ment to be broken and just after laws are to originate in the house of reps or the lower house (not the RBA). The Australian bureaucracy shouldn't be telling Australian businesses owners how to pass on costs or anything really. So after some due diligence I've decided, the RBA and my payment provider can go fish them selves, im not paying $400pw out of my pocket so people can spend in a way they're accustomed to. I'll continue covering that cost as a surcharge because it's fair and easily avoidable with cash.
Why didn't the RBA regulate the system providers and banks instead of the people generating money from actual work!? Or if they really wanted to give everyone a breath of air, index the gst free threshold to inflation!? instead it's "here small business have another utility bill".
Um, yeah, Nah.
And if someone doesn't like it they get to complain to my payment provider. Good luck with that.
October 1st card surcharge fees wil be absorbed into platform service surcharge.
