What an amazing little getaway we had in Brisbane! We absolutely loved this beautiful city.

A huge thankyou to my fiancé for coming along and sharing this incredible cake creative journey with me. ❤️

I travelled to Brisbane to complete another workshop with my all-time favourite cake extraordinaire, Camilo, who once again did not disappoint. His talent and passion are truly inspiring.

I also had the privilege of learning new techniques in Dolla Fadel's buttercream piping bouquet class, and I enjoyed every single moment. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and creating alongside such talented artists. I can't wait to put these new skills into practice! 💗

I wasn’t even going to post this wedding cake…

I tried a new buttercream marble technique and, honestly, it didn’t turn out the way I had envisioned. As someone who pours so much love into every detail, I can be quite hard on myself because these cakes are for once-in-a-lifetime moments, and I always want them to feel perfect.

Running a cake business definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted. There are long hours, high expectations, and moments where things don’t go to plan. But I think it’s important to be real and own those moments too, they’re all part of growing and refining the craft.

On the bright side, this cake still tasted absolutely incredible (as always 😉) and it survived a not-so-fun drive down to Jervis Bay in one piece which is always a win!

Here’s your reminder (and mine) keep going, keep learning, and push through the moments that challenge you. That’s where the magic really happens ✨
