At Passel Estate, each season reveals its own distinct beauty.

The winter flowers currently blossoming in our tasting room garden create a stunning array of colours while providing vital nectar and pollen for our resident bees. 🐝

These honey bees play a crucial role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem throughout the vineyards by pollinating cover crops and trees across the property. As a delightful bonus, we occasionally harvest raw honey from the hives, some jars are available now for purchase in the tasting room!

🌸 Our handpicked flowers from the gardens also contribute to a warm and inviting atmosphere for your winter wine tasting experience at Passel Estate.

Passel Estate owners, Wendy and Barry sat down recently with our winemaker, Bruce Dukes, and viticulturist, Tim Quinlan, to taste barrel samples of the 2025 Lot 71 Reserve red wines and the 2026 chardonnay wines, which are currently undergoing élevage.

The hearts of the press of our 2026 chardonnay fruit displayed exquisite differentiation between our Chardonnay clones.

Bruce adored the precise clarity and delicacy of the Dijon 95 clone, while Barry particularly enjoyed the broader, creamier flavours of the Gin Gin clone!

It was equally difficult to select a favourite Lot 71 Reserve red wines - but Wendy swooned for the 2025 Lot 71 Reserve Syrah, already a deliciously complex wine, and extraordinarily perfumed.

This fine fellow is Murphy, our latest winter wine dog.

Murphy enjoyed lots of treats and ear scratches from our dog-loving team, while waiting patiently on our sheltered deck for his hoomans to finish savouring their guided wine tasting experience.

Thank you for bringing Murphy and his family to visit Passel Estate.

Your four-legged friends are more than welcome to accompany you to Passel Estate. We just ask that visiting dogs are kept on a lead, as our nearby bushland is a wildlife sanctuary.

Last week it was our incredible honour to be among just 3 wines shortlisted for Australia's Best Cabernet Sauvignon Trophy in the National Wine Show of Australia!

The National Wine Show of Australia judges the 'best of the best', because entry is strictly by invitation only; wines must have previously won a gold or silver medal at a qualifying competition.

Many congratulations to our friends at Xanadu for taking home the Trophy as Wine Champion of the show!

Passel Estate is thrilled, nevertheless, to have received the TOP GOLD medal for our 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon with the judges bestowing it an amazing 96 points!

📷 It’s Nature Photography Day!

Featuring many different species of flora and fauna, Passel Estate is the perfect place to get closer to nature and capture images of in our picturesque landscapes.

🦘We’re blessed to welcome a wealth of wildlife to our property. Our guests delight in seeing kangaroos, cockatoos and a variety of native birds and water fowl right outside the floor-to-ceiling windows as they sip our fine wines.

🌳 Our bushland wildlife sanctuary has a standing of tall native trees, which is home to our resident passel (family) of critically endangered western ringtail possums and other species of fauna found here on the property.

This weekend is 'Drink Chenin Blanc Day', celebrated annually each second weekend in June!

So in tribute to this highly versatile grape variety at the tasting room, we will be opening a few bottles of our delightful, traditional method sparkling chenin blanc: La Joie!

🥂Everybody who visits our Tasting Room on Saturday 13th June or Sunday 14th June for a guided tasting experience will receive a welcome splash of La Joie, to get their visit off to a celebratory start.

🌊 On World Ocean Day, we celebrate Passel Estate’s proximity to the coast and the importance of cooling sea breezes that moderate the temperature in our vineyard.

Surrounded by the ocean on three sides, The The Margaret River Region’s strong maritime influence and Bordeaux-like Mediterranean climate provide perfect conditions for producing fine wine .

Passel Estate is positioned less than five kilometres from Margaret River’s pristine coastline and the single-vineyard wines we produce are pure expressions of our terroir.

Our wines are representative of the ancient gravelly loams in which our vines grow and the maritime-influenced, mediterranean climate in which the fruit flourishes. They reveal the way the grapes have been expertly nurtured by our viticulturist, Tim, and ultimately crafted into fine wine by our esteemed winemakers, Bruce and Remi.

🌏 Happy World Environment Day!

As a certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, we are committed to protecting the beautiful environment here at Passel Estate, and we regularly conduct a range of different conservation projects to honour this commitment.

A group of conservation volunteers joined owner Barry and our team recently in planting 160 native tube stocks in our wildlife sanctuary to enhance remnant vegetation and to strengthen the understory layer close to the creek line.

Planting these tube stocks is critically important for the safety of our resident Western Ringtail Possums and other native species that live here in the bushland.

🙏 We sincerely thank all of the volunteers who helped at the Passel Estate planting day this year.
