"All the energy, all the lemon and lime. Searing, linear acidity meets a juiciness and some puffs of talc. Lots going on here. A complex yet compact and very vivacious expression, with steely consistency and piercing intensity yet a general sense of freshness around all that. In essence, sheer refreshment factor and a vivid delivery of regional Riesling."

Some things have changed. Some things really haven't.

Our Margaret River Cellar Door has been open since 2000. The vista looks a little different and the gardens have matured but our commitment to providing 5-star wine tasting experiences remains the same.

We look forward to welcoming you the next time you are visiting the region. For booked tastings see the link in bio.

For 40 years, Howard Park has been shaped by more than just one family.

The Burch family may be at the helm, but behind every vintage, every bottle and every glass poured at Howard Park are people whose knowledge, care and humour have helped shape who we are.

This is just a small selection of the people we're lucky to call part of the Howard Park family.

(Not pictured is Georg Landwehr who is a general all-rounder in the vineyard who gets the job done and keeps the tractors trucking!)

There are many more that have worked behind-the-scenes for years or who, after decades of service, have recently retired or changed careers.

To everyone who has worked a vintage, walked a vineyard, packed a case, poured a tasting, answered a customer, fixed a tractor, opened a cellar door or simply made Howard Park a better place to work — thank you.

1. Coral Walton, the warehouse mother hen - her keen eye to detail and her humour make the warehouse one of the more enjoyable places to work.

2. Nick Sheridan, our warehouse wizard, he knows what and where every box of wine is or is going to and it’s always done with a smile.
3. Mark Bailey, the steady hand in the wine-making team who’s quietly and consistently been working on our beloved wines for almost 20 years.

4. Cathy Ward, one of the first employees when our Margaret River Cellar door opened. She charms everyone she meets and has a warmth that welcomes all.

5. Nic Taylor, vineyard manager in Margaret River but also an exceptional barista and a huge driving force behind our composting and sustainability regime.

6. Rebecca Knox’s attention to detail means that anything she touches runs smoothly, whether it’s an event, a website migration, or our regular wine club communications.

7. Ray Jagger, is our man on the ground in the Great Southern, he knows the vineyards like the back of his hand and works tirelessly to nurture the vines in Australia’s most remote wine region

Wow! Last week we hosted our second signature dinner to celebrate our 40th anniversary. This time at The International in Sydney. It was an intimate guest list including long time wine club members, friends, and media.

Hosted by Director, Richard Burch, Chief Winemaker Nic Bowen and Wine Club Manager David Stredwick, guests were treated to a bespoke menu, tailored to match seamlessly with our wines.

We created theatre with a 6 litre imperial bottle of the 2008 Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon, re-examined the 1986 Cabernet Merlot and enjoyed many new release wines.

Once speeches and courses were all complete, guests got to take home their own special piece of Howard Park history with the bottle of our icon wine and some matching glassware from our partners - and .baulderstone

Thank you again to all those that came, there is nothing we love more than enjoying our wines with spectacular food and great company.

Where were you and what were you doing in 1997, or 2000, or 2008 or 2016?

We're hosting our Annual Old Wine Weekend this weekend (1st & 2nd August) in our Subiaco office where we'll be exploring beautifully matured wines that have been meticulously cellared for decades.

As owner Jeff Burch always says - “Every bottle is a time capsule - it captures a season, a place and the people who cared for it."

Join us to taste a curated selection of wines, hear about the stories that shaped them while taking the time to reminisce about how your own histories have shaped you.

See the link in bio for tickets. There's only a few spots left.
