We are the exclusive caterer at Sydney's historic Red Mill Rum www.redmillrum.com.au My parents Roy and Suellyn Seaman owned butcher shops in Dubbo as did my grandfather on Mums side and uncles on Dads. We grew up on a sheep farm on the Old Dubbo Road side of town called Nepunya, and got my concept of food and flowers from the displays our folks did in their butcher shop with fruits and vegetables. From age seven I would forage with my best friend Heidi in and around Dubbo. Picking flowers from all the gardens in the streets surrounding her house and dressing the dinner table and serve cups of tea. I loved to cook and would make meals and serve them like a waitress when mum and dad had friends over. I loaded the table with decorations I made in my room. Emma, my sister, and I worked in the fruit section of the butcher shop when we turned 12. Mum and dad's shop was the only in the gateway to the west region to not have to use saw dust as a method of collecting fat from off the floors. They sold fruits and vegetables and styled the shop with old wares including a tin bath that now lives in our back garden. Mum made the coats for the butchers in yellow and brown flower print fabric which they wore with shorts and knee high socks. I left school in year 10 to join the Howarth family as kitchen hand then called galley girl on Captain Cook Cruises. I moved from below to top deck commentating about Sydney and her beautiful harbour to the tourists on board and selling tickets at the cashier. I learnt Japanese but in hindsight should have been Cantonese. Heidi and I lived onboard the Captain Cook Explorer working two weeks on and two weeks off on the Hawkesbury River. The head chef fell for her and carved 'I Love Heidi' into the watermelons on the breakfast buffet which brings wink to conversation in 2026 back then 1992. Thanks for the special time on the river Heid. Prior to opening I managed large scale catering companies Bayleaf Catering and Aria Catering by Matt Moran. This took me to tour Australia with Elton John, Sting, Hill Top Hoods, Eskimo Joe, Black Sabbath, The Black Keys and produce Gold Dinner, Silver Dinner, Magic Millions, TEDx Sydney, Dinner en Blanc and New Years Eve at the Sydney Opera House.
