🐂 Show Season Is Underway at Gold Crest Limousins 🐂

It’s been a slightly slower start to the showing season this year with plenty happening on many different fronts, but the Gold Crest team is now in full swing preparing for the Toowoomba Royal Show.

The clippers are buzzing, halters are being sorted, and the team are spending some time tied up with a bit of bunting fluttering nearby.

If you’re heading to the show, make sure you swing past the cattle sheds, say hello, and see who made the Gold Crest show team for 2026.

Thrilled to see more of our genetics in your program. We look forward to inspecting their calves with you next year!

On Saturday we went to the annual Goldcrest Limousin sale and added these two beautiful boys, Milkshake & Fernando, to the Erinvale herd 🐮🐮 By all accounts they are already very popular with the ladies😂 Thanks Darren and Shelley for the hard work and passion you put into these incredible bulls. We are always super happy with the progeny - great temperament, and muscle definition - and we look forward to seeing what these guys can do!

📣 Why are we selling so many females this year?

We’ve had a few messages asking this very question — so here’s the answer.

We recently lost access to one of our agistment blocks, and our home block simply can’t carry the extra numbers. So, when it came time to catalogue for our Bull & Female Sale this Saturday (23rd August), the decision was made to offer all the females that had been running on that block.

These are good quality females, many of them standouts we would’ve happily kept in the herd had we had the space. But with limited land in our area, keeping them all just wasn’t possible.

This sale is a rare opportunity to secure exceptional females straight from the heart of our breeding program.
