Out and about with Rowallan.
Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking out 1st place at the Young shows prime lamb competition(hoof section) We must say this year’s host of entrants was of outstanding quality and every pen deserved commending.
Thank you very much to all those who make this competition and the show possible, the judges and the team at KMWL who keep it going.
Thanks also to Southern meats Goulburn for their continued support, all entrants now wait with anticipation for the hook section of the competition, after the lambs are processed today.

Now lot 3 offers something a little different. Huge growth numbers from this 135 son impressively align with handy eating quality data that are not commonly found together. As the video attests he’s built right, easy stepping, and muscle bound, this bloke packs plenty. Come and see him for yourself on Friday.

Alright here we go, from the top because this guy is just too good to wait for.
Lot 1 (325) is first up for a reason, an absolute star both on paper and to the eye. Sired by the ever incredible Valma 341 this fellow has it all. Top percentile for muscle paired with growth numbers that are hard to find together. He then has high ranking eating quality data that puts all his indexes in the top percent too.
I’ll let you assess the video, but you can’t help but love his free movement and leg structure, soft muscling all over and natural presence.
A future sire in the making, first up on September 4!

Roll up, roll up ladies and gentlemen because this is your official sneak peak and first look at lot 9. He carries great bone and muscle that is sure to turn heads on sale day. I could ramble for hours about how good he is but just look at him, and the figures speak for themselves. This is just one of the exciting quality rams on offer next Friday.

… Sorry all, broke into a rugby tune after spending the day in the yards with the rams and listening in to the Wallabies win!
I split off a few of the top lots for some video work late last week and lot 6 here decided to give some decent impromptu footage. Sired by Valma 230135, this guy is typical of what we churn out at Rowallan. Free moving with spot on structure, clean pointed, and softness for days, he’ll produce some incredible lambs for any market when his chance comes.
More videos with detailed ASBV’s to come this week, so keep your eyes peeled for more of this goodness.
