Gotcha Speckle Park

Gotcha Speckle Park Our focus is on breeding highly productive beef cattle.

GOTCHA Speckle Park is a family owned and operated cattle stud on the banks of the beautiful Manning River, on Dumaresq Island with is on the NSW mid north coast. We aim to continually develop our cattle groups with targeted improvements in yield, early maturity, strong reproduction, absolute correctness in their feet, and crucially producing cattle that we enjoy working with (temperament is very

important to us). We enjoy the lifestyle on our farm, we enjoy the people we see every day on farm, the people that help us along the way and we’d love to have you come visit us anytime.

Not cow related …

For almost 12 years we’ve been working hard to design, fund & execute on the development of a new multi-sports (multi-purpose) facility for our community, Iron Arena.

Our endeavour has been to not only developed improved facilities for our kids & other participants, but to also stimulate our local economy via sports & events driven tourism.

It’s been a labour of love, but I will be very happy when it’s finished. On Tuesday 2nd December 2025 @ 5.30pm we will celebrate its opening.

If you live in the MidCoast catchment, and/or you want to come check it out, we’d love to see you there.

Stardust & her halloween bull calf.
* Both doing very well.

If you look closely enough, you’ll spot some flood debris that settled on top of the shipping container 😨.

Wattle Grove Stardust R121. She certainly has some size & shape to her.

There are so many stud animals we’ve seen at shows, being sold at sales or highlight within people’s programs. We often wonder how they got on, did they do well and/or how did the progeny develop (some we hear about & some we’d like to hear more).

Gotcha Hannah S8 was the Jnr Champion Female at the 2023 Sydney Royal Feature Breed Show. She was picked out by the judge from 88 heifer entries & was placed in the top 3 of that years interbreed.

Here’s some photos of her from this morning (& back in the Sydney ring). She’s really developed into a big cow, like her dam, & continues to do well regardless of the conditions (she has come through a long wet period & the flood misery better than any other animal we have).

* She has bred two heifer calves (neither have been registered yet, we’ve kept them on the low down).

* The May 25 flood has interrupted her breeding plan, so she is currently empty (we will look to get her in calf again shortly). Pondering which bull to use??

* She’s been flushed once, successfully, using Minnamurra Rastus R51, a very interesting combo we thought.

* we saw some really strong Rastus progeny in the recent Wattle Grove Triple Treat Sale.

We’ve got some real fancy cows, flashy types, eye catching & super strong from head to toe ….

But, you’ve got to wonder, are they better than this girl - who could almost be overlooked by visitors.

She’s hard to fault.

Her new bull calf already has a name:

“Bernard”
& he’s off to a great start!

Anyone else SICK of the …… RAIN?

* this is ridiculous!

* most of our cattle are still not back home yet, but if you’re looking for a deal on some of the best heifers you’ll ever find (you may get us at a weak moment very soon 🫩).

This gorgeous girl, Charmer (Three Way Charming Moments), recently had a post flood holiday with some wonderful Angus breeders Bernie & Bronwyn. ❤️

I reckon … if we had of forget to pop her on the truck back home, Bernie might have been ok about that!

Bernie, this photo is a few months old & that heifer calf is a real beauty …. You two might just get along too ??

Charmer is simple a beautiful cow, everything about her is just right.
