We are super excited for another chapter in our business...
As new owners of the best butcher shop in Gunnedah - Mornington Butchery!

The Etheridge family have built a fine business over the years and we will be building on very strong foundations maintaining all high quality local meats, the best snags in town, and super friendly staff.

The Mornington Butchery name will live on and all the wonderful staff and their friendly service are staying.

Congratulations and Thankyou to the Etheridge Family for the amazing history and quality reputation they have built. We have big boots to fill but we're up for the challenge.

Kate will be managing the business day to day and Lachlan will be in charge of Livestock Procurement (Beef).

Congratulations to Keith Blanch and family on selling these Wallawong sired calves for $5.40/kg at last week's Gunnedah sale. Certainly impressive growth, carcase and finish.

Things get busy and it's been 6 weeks since the sale. Thank you to all successful buyers and underbidders. Cattle sold to 3 states with several heading to seedstock operations in Qld.

17/22 Angus Bulls sold for a top price of $14,000 (Lot 15 Wallawong Uncle Sam U155, purchased by Hourn & Bishop QLD) & averaged $8,470.

7/10 Murray Grey Bulls sold for a top price of $12,000 (Lot 25 Wallawong Taxi Rank T57, purchased by Karmoo Brahmans QLD) and averaged $7,285.

Angus PTIC Heifers sold for a top price of $4,500 & Murray Grey PTIC Heifers sold for $3,000.
