We at Mobile Catering are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic, and friendly person to work in our Tyabb school canteen.
We have an opening for a canteen worker to work 3- 4 days per week (from 9.30am -2:30pm).
We operate during the normal Victorian school days and are closed during school holidays, weekends, and public holidays. The location is at the Tyabb Campus.
Duties Include:
- Organise, prepare & cook food according to the menu and pre-orders.
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills are required.
- Ensure that stock is kept at appropriate levels.
- Servicing the students and teachers using our POS system.
- Help with washing and tidying up the kitchen area.
- Maintain and keep the kitchen and service area clean and tidy.
-Adhere to Australian Food Safety Standards and the Food Standards Code of the kitchen
The following criteria is desirable:
- Worked previously in a café or in the food industry.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Experience in food preparation and service settings.
- Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude.
- A professional attitude to work, including punctuality, reliability, and pride in presentation.
The following is required to be considered for the role:
- Food Safety and Handling certificate.
- Working with children certificate.
