🍎 Pick Your Own is ON this weekend! 🍎

We’re excited to be running Pick Your Own Experiences on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend - and we’ll once again be picking the incredible Kalei apples!

Kalei is a newer variety with a beautiful red skin, super crunchy texture, and that perfect balance of sweetness and acidity (think: Pink Lady vibes). Even better - one of its parents is the much-loved Royal Gala, so you know it’s something special 💫

A little heads up: it’s still a bit wet underfoot, so gumboots are highly recommended. The orchard might be muddy, but the fruit is absolutely worth it! 👢

Bookings are essential - secure your place here: www.darkes.com.au 💛🍎

We can’t wait to see you out in the orchard!

💛 Community Fundraiser for Glenn 💛

Many of you have been asking how you can support Glenn directly during this time.

Some wonderful members of our community have organised a fundraiser to do exactly that - to support Glenn and our family personally, not the business.

As many of you know, Glenn was recently diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumour. It has been an incredibly difficult season for our family, and we are deeply grateful for the kindness surrounding us.

📅 THIS Friday, 27 February 2026
⏰ 5-7pm
📍 Helensburgh Hotel

Darkes Forest Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade and Centenial Hotel Helensburgh will be hosting a meat raffle, with all proceeds going directly toward supporting Glenn and our family as we navigate the challenges ahead.

If you’ve been wondering how to help Glenn personally - this is one meaningful way. Your presence, your generosity, and simply spreading the word all make a difference.

We are so thankful for the strength of this community. 💛

With gratitude,
The Fahey Family
