Fellow Shareholders,

This is just a reminder that voting closes for the AWI director election at 10 am Wednesday 12th November, if you wish to exercise your democratic right to decide who represents you at board level. To vote, please follow the link https://au.investorcentre.mpms.mufg.com/

As a professional woolgrower, my candidacy for AWI director is founded on a strong commitment to advancing AWI’s strategic initiatives, with the goal of re-establishing woolgrowing as the preferred and most profitable option for land use. By targeting marketing efforts and increasing demand for our sustainable renewable natural fibre, we can boost shareholder returns and support both AWI growth and our own individual business. Generating income through higher wool prices is essential for continued investment in world-class research.

We have a tremendous opportunity to exploit our own positive narrative and to stop wasting time infighting over issues. Our competitors are synthetic fibres, other land uses and shedding breeds - not each other.

Marketing should embrace all sectors of the industry from superfine to broad wools. It should not matter what sector of the industry you are in but having a viable profitable enterprise where your individual choices are just that. AWI’s role should be to create new markets and consumers for all products while maintaining hard fought for existing business.

Research plays an essential role in solving issues related to production, efficiency, and labour savings. AWI has a wide range of research projects, including genetics, animal health, wool harvesting, shearer training, textile development, and more, all of which deserve support. I hope there will be a focused approach to addressing blowfly genetics as a priority, since solving this issue could relieve some of the challenges growers currently face, both in managing their operations and meeting consumer demands.

With more than forty years of full-time experience as a professional woolgrower, I have gained extensive knowledge in genetics, shearing, and environmental stewardship—including involvement with carbon projects. I am committed to supporting the next generation of woolgrowers having made this a strong focus in organisations I have worked with. My leadership roles have spanned a variety of industry groups at both state and federal levels within the sheep and wool sector. I am seeking your support for my candidacy to join the AWI board, where I aim to be part of a team delivering positive results for you as a shareholder.

Fellow woolgrowers, voting for the AWI Board is now open. It is your right to select the candiates that will propel the industry forward. AWI is a dynamic global company.

My entire business career has been involved in the wool industry as an owner, manager, stud breeder, shearer and a passionate advocate on industry commitees.

It is imperative of every board member to explore every marketing opportuniy for the ultimate renewable fibre. This will create more demand so individual producers are profitable and more decide to commit to long term woolgrowing.

In the carbon and sustanabilty fields, we have an incredibly powerful positive narrative to tell.

The management and breeding of producers' flocks should be their own decision in relation to animal health issues.

In terms of AWI research, the greater the marketing of the fibre and increased returns by growing the business lead to more research dollars being generated.

I believe a research priority is to all out attack the fly. Having done the genomic seqencing of the species, we should work with scientists to investigate how to interrupt the fly's ability to detect odour (suint and urine) thus reducing flystrike. Along with the sterile fly research, it is far better to address the cause rather than the symptoms.

A board should be looking for positive outcomes for shareholders. I have over forty years of industry experience and have represented the industry in areas of genetics, animal health and sustainability at federal and state goverenment level. Along with my practical experience of a committed professional woolgrower, I believe my skill set will be a positive addition to AWI. I seek your support for the AWI Board.
