Tequila Tromba came back to Taste Port Douglas this year and made itself right at home 🌴
 
If you were at the long lunch or any of the evening events, chances are your first sip of the night was Tromba. Over at Daintree Bar, Tromba took over the menu and the room stayed packed well into the night.
 
After a weekend of tasting it, guests got the chance to go behind the bottle. Founder Jimmy Sherry closed things out with a masterclass on where Tromba comes from, sharing the story of master distiller Marco Cedano and the craft behind every bottle. Everyone tasted their way from blanco to extra añejo before shaking up their own margaritas and palomas, with Jimmy walking them through what separates a good drink from a great one.

October just got a whole lot juicier with Tequila Tromba’s Paloma Month! 🍊🌵
 
Paloma Month is officially HERE and we’re making it the most refreshing month of the year. Grapefruit, lime, a little salt and a whole lot of Tequila Tromba. Simple? Sure. Iconic? Always.
 
Over the next few weeks we’ll be dropping all the best spots to find a Tromba Paloma near you. Classic, frozen, spicy, pink, tall, short... in all shapes, sizes and colours 😉
 
And here’s the best part. Every Tromba Paloma served this October helps support the Agave Rewilding Project in Mexico. Drink a paloma, help rewild agave! Truly a win-win. 
 
Each year wild agave is destroyed to clear land for corporate farming. The Agave Rewilding Project is fighting back by planting wild agave species on the brink of extinction, protecting biodiversity and the future of the plant that gives us tequila.

One drink stuck with us from the first stop of the tour all the way to the last. It landed on our very first day and held its ground through every state that followed. Not to say the competition wasn’t tight, because there were absolutely some seriously close runners up.
 
But the winner of the Nusa Cana Indonesian Rum Revival is... 🥁🥁🥁🥁
 
CONOR’S KRAKATOA from Scoundrel's Rest 🌋
 
A highball built on Nusa Caña Coconut, lime sambal cordial and corn husk smoked pandan soda. Named for the island that erupted, vanished and then returned anew, which is exactly the arc Indonesian rum has taken.
 
Congratulations mate, you’re going to Bali!
 
Thank you to every bartender who entered. The standard was ridiculous and we loved every stop.
