Friday has a very specific sound around here.

The hiss of a tap. The first beer hitting the table. Someone saying “I’m only staying for one.” and, from 6pm, live music making that last statement increasingly unlikely.

Every Friday, we hand the soundtrack over to some brilliant local musicians and let the weekend take care of the rest.

Clock off. Wander in. Find a spot. Stay longer than intended.

Thursday nights at Island State are looking pretty good...
We’ve got Run Club, Co****le and $7.50 schooners all happening under one roof - plus the kitchen firing for anyone keen to hang around, grab some dinner and settle in for the night.

🏃 THE PIER PUB RUN: 6PM
Everyone’s welcome. Head out for 20 minutes, turn around and come back... run, jog, walk, scoot, skate or ride at whatever pace works for you.
No sign-up. No fee. Just show up. Dogs on leads are welcome too.

🎯 CO****LE: FROM 6:30PM
The Devonport Co****le crew are back for Thursday night games.
Regular player? Come get amongst it.
Never played before? Even better... come down from around 6pm and the crew will help you get set up and show you how it works.

🍺 $7.50 SCHOONERS
Run done. Bags thrown. Now for the important bit.
We’re pouring $7.50 schooners, so grab your crew and stick around for a few beers, a feed and a catch-up.

🍕 STAY FOR DINNER
Come hungry - the kitchen has plenty to sort you out.
Pizza including Pepperoni, House Special, Buffalo Chicken, Capricciosa, Caramelised Onion, Funghi, BBQ Chicken and Prosciutto, plus chicken wings, cauli bites, loaded fries, chicken tenders and chips.

And if you’ve still got room… there’s Nutella pizza with strawberries for dessert.

Good people + Thursday night hangs

Resilience - is it more than just pushing through? Join us for an evening of inspiring insights as Lifeline Tasmania host Peter Baldwin and guest speaker Shannan Maciejewski unpack what it means to be
resilient. Shannan is a small Business Owner, Community Engagement Coordinator and Dad of 4. Shanna will share how to stay well when pressure builds and how to recognise the signs of stress and burnout.
This relaxed and engaging session will challenge common myths around resilience and offer new perspectives on coping with life’s challenges.
