Well, nothing amazes me anymore! 😂🐷
Yesterday afternoon we took these piglets off a young sow because we just didn’t think they were getting enough milk. She’s highly strung & wasn’t settling down properly to let them feed.
So, we kidnapped them & set them up in the old laundry — just like the other house pigs over the years.
Milk in their dishes, plenty of hay to snuggle into, heater going and everyone tucked up nicely.
We checked them at about 9:30pm before heading to bed. Milk dishes full, warm & snuggled in. All good.
Fast forward to 6am this morning… I opened the door 😳 Holy Crap!!!
5 piglets camped up at the back door in Daisy’s bed! 😂
Somehow, sometime during the night, these little escape artists decided the old laundry wasn’t good enough and made their own way outside. I’m suspecting Daisy herded them up & kept them warm in her bed.
Daisy does take her guard dog duties very seriously.
Honestly… you can make all the plans you like around here, but these darn animals clearly have plans of their own!
