The 2026 Chardonnays were racked from barrel to tank today, and the w**ery smells amazing!

The floor is covered in the real w**emakers — the yeast that converted all that grape juice into delicious w**e — and the barrel washer's been put to work, giving the inside of each barrel a high-pressure hot wash.

Some are off and racing, some are just hanging back.

These two vines are Chardonnay, reacting differently to the warm and wet start to spring. They're in the same dirt on the same hillside but genetically they're different Chardonnays — Clone 548 bolts early, whereas Clone 76 is taking its time.

Having a mix of clones is like insurance. Different budburst and flowering timing means some vines might get hit at critical times, but not all — so we're better prepared to navigate frosts and storms.

Different clones also means different flavours and textures, so it's a great way to build complexity into our w**es.

This is Cabernet Sauvignon. Black cherry, blackcurrant, a trace of cedar and graphite. Full-bodied, high tannin, built to hold its shape for years in the bottle.

It’s a Bordeaux grape by birth – a chance cross of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc – now grown from the Yarra to Napa to Coonawarra. Thick-skinned, slow-ripening, unmistakable on the vine.

e’Stellar Estate, through the eyes of…

On the last Friday of every month, we hand the camera to one of our team and let them show you the estate as they see it.

No polish. No posed shots. No filters. Just the vineyard, the cellar, the people, and their travels.

This month we catch a glimpse of our Assistant W**emaker, Thomas’ world:

“August was a month of prepping for the upcoming growing season with a cold morning watching the sunrise from the shed while we pulled apart and fixed sprayers. We finished the pruning and young vine training.

We tried our hand at kegging w**e, it was also a nice excuse to get out of the rain while the dams filled up.

Now we are onto bud swell and burst with the warm spring sun starting to come out.”

Glou is the first venue to pour e’Stellar Estate on tap, and it’s beautifully aligned with our approach to sustainability.

Large format kegging saves so much glass, and we’re excited to have packaged up our beautiful e’ Range Chardonnay for this venue.
It’s a first for us, so we’re calling it a milestone to celebrate, come and try a range of our w**es as well as our kegged Chardonnay, and sit and enjoy some oysters and platters while you’re there!

We’re running our Pop-up concurrently with **eOdyssey, but there are no ticket or bookings required, it’s all walk-ins. If you’re in the area on Saturday, come in and try a glass.

Ryan will also be pouring our e’Stellar Sparkling Rosé, e’ Pinot Noir, e’ Rosé and our e’ Cabernet Syrah.

A walk through the e’Stellar Estate vineyard is a guaranteed way to see a mob of kangaroos. There is one elusive kangaroo that we often see from a distance, but never up close - until yesterday.

Meet Boomer, the white kangaroo. It is estimated that white (or leucistic) kangaroos occur in only one in 50,000 to 100,000 wild births.

We’re very happy to share this estate with Boomer.
