Mandala Wines is a family-owned Yarra Valley w**ery. We like to celebrate 'the good life' and w**es that truly are as Yarra Valley as it gets!

Set amongst the vines at our home site in Dixon's Creek, our restaurant and cellar door is the perfect place to settle in and get a taste of our estate w**es and local produce. Our site brings to fruition the joy of simple pleasures, great food and w**e and the love of family....embracing and savouring life. With established 20-year-old vines, our family owned and operated Yarra Valley vineyards produce varietals that excel in this region. These are w**es of character and finesse. They are fruit-driven, contemporary and made to be enjoyed with good food and friends.

This weekend we open the doors to our summer pop-up cellar door in Gembrook at The Independent. Located just 15 minutes from our Vineyard, this beautiful venue has allowed us to offer tastings and w**e experiences every weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm.

Enjoy a selection of our Estate and Single Site w**es, including back releases, new vintages and museum releases.
After your tasting, enjoy a glass, or a bottle in the restaurant or the courtyard, or make the most of your Gembrook visit with a beautiful lunch.

Tastings are $15, redeemable on purchases over $50. They run for 45 minutes, and bookings are recommended to ensure we can give you the best experience.

With our move back to Yarra Junction, we've been working hard on producing w**es from what was a strong vintage.

We understand many of you haven't had a chance to try our latest releases with the move away from our Cellar Door, and so we're excited to announce our new Cellar Door Pop Up at The Independent in Gembrook over summer, launching THIS WEEKEND FOR SHEDFEST W**E FESTIVAL!

We will be open 11am-3pm Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday, offering tastings of our new release w**es, and some cellar door specials. It's been many years since we participated in this Smaller Wineries event, and we felt this was a great way to open some bottles and celebrate with you.

In the kitchen we're delighted to join forces with Mauro- who was our first Chef over when we had Dixon's Creek. His hatted Argentinian restaurant is located just 15 minutes from our Vineyard, and is the perfect base for you to enjoy some bar snacks, try some w**es and take in Gembrook.

Tickets are just $35 for the weekend, giving you the chance to enjoy tastings at 16 w**eries across the valley over two days. We'd love to see you as we launch our summer Cellar Door.

We've selected a very sentimental pair of museum w**es for release for Father's Day, offering them exclusively in your choice of a twin pack ($99) (normally $160) or a case of six ($250) (normally $480) with three of each.

The Mandala Rock Shiraz -

Derived via Latin and Greek words "Petra / Petros" meaning "stone" or "rock", this w**e is attributed to Charles' father Peter, who is the infamous "rock" of the Smedley family, as well as a lover of a bold cool-climate Shiraz.

As reviewed by Ray Jordan:

A Yarra Shiraz bursting with vibrant red fruits, lifted with a zippy pepper character. This is a wonderful expression of cool climate Shiraz with fine bony tannins and well-weighted oak, where it spent 18 months with 40% new French. The palate has an effortless feel about it as it extends to a long, focused finish. Impressive w**e.

Rich bouquet of blackberry, caramelised fig, licorice, hints of white pepper, and a sweet oak lift. Salted plum, dark chocolate, and raisins brooding.

Dark berries, cherries, and cinnamon espresso tones on the palate, a fine tannin structure and persistent length.

The Mandala Butterfly Cabernet Sauvignon -

This w**e is lovingly dedicated to Charles' late sister Vanessa, whose name in Greek means "butterfly". Vanessa enjoyed her heavy red w**es, especially a good Cabernet Sauvignon.

Rich scents of cassis, cigar box and black olive with a balanced blueberry and black fruit profile on palate. Red currant and cherry fruit also quite pronounced. Tannins fine and melty.

Freshly released: The 2025 Mandala Yarra Valley Chardonnay.
If you love the a cool-climate Chardonnay, this is the bottle for you. The 2025 season allowed our fruit to flourish, producing a w**e that is as aromatic as it is intense.

On the nose, expect vibrant citrus and hints of white nectarine and florals. The palate brings the complexity—think biscuity notes and a touch of spice, balanced by a beautiful hint of salinity on the finish.
