🏆 AMIC State Sausage King Awards 🏆

On Saturday night we attended the annual WA sausage king awards held at Optus stadium. We are beyond excited to announce that we have come home with one state champion title, 6 gold, 3 silver & 2 bronze awards! We couldn’t be happier with the results!

Our Hickory BBQ lamb Sausage took out the WA state title for best lamb sausage which takes us through to the nationals next year. We have a huge shiny new trophy to add to our shelf which we are so grateful to have received the recognition for! 🏆

We received Gold awards for:

🥇Fat Hippo Chutney & Cheese Sausage
🥇 Pepper, Chilli & Cheese Sausage
🥇 Bryno’s Beef, Cheese & Bacon Sausage
🥇 Beef BBQ Sausage
🥇 Lamb Mergeuz Sausage
🥇 Lamb, Pumpkin & Feta Burger

We received Silver awards for:

🥈 Traditional Beef Burger
🥈 Hot Italian Sausage
🥈 Aussie Pork Sausage

And lastly we received Bronze awards for:

🥉 Mild Italian Sausage
🥉 Jalapeño & Cheese Beef Burger

We can’t thank and congratulate our team enough for all the hard work they put into producing our products each and every day and we are so proud to come home with all of these awards to show for it. Thank you also to our amazing customers who constantly support us, we appreciate you guys so much and are so excited to have been able to bring back a state title to little Donnybrook! 🏆 🥂

Get to know the team with a little Q&A 🤝

Georgia and I are beyond excited to announce to our Donnybrook Butchers family that last week we welcomed our little boy Oliver into the world. It will be a few years until we can get him working his first shift in the shop but at least he’s looking the part already with his new uniform. We can’t thank everyone enough who has sent their well wishes and we know Oli is very lucky to have so many people who adore him so much already.

I will be stepping back from the shop for a few weeks to soak up time with our new little family so Mason has officially been promoted to manager while we are away. We know we are leaving the shop in the absolute best of hands and are so lucky to have such an amazing team and they did the most amazing job this week handling one of the busiest weeks of the year in the shop aside from Christmas.

Thank you for your amazing support this week, you definitely kept the team on their toes! To make sure they can catch up on all the rest they deserve we will be closed this Easter long weekend and open back up on Tuesday the 7th.

There’s been heaps happening here lately and even more so today as we have lots to celebrate!

It’s Sebs birthday as well as his first offical day of his butchering apprenticeship! 🥳🎈

Seb started with us a year ago doing after school shifts and Saturday’s as a clean up kid. He always shows up with a great work ethic, amazing manners, is always polite and knows how to make us all have a good laugh! We couldn’t be happier to welcome him to the team full time and we know he’s going to make a great butcher. We’ve got him working hard on his birthday so make sure if you are in this afternoon you wish him a happy birthday! 🎂

🎄Christmas Eve 🎄

The final day is here and we are open until 2pm today! This is our final day open until we have a much needed rest and open back up 7am Monday the 5th of January. So make sure you head down and stock up before it’s too late. We have loaded the cabinet up and have plenty of goodies available!

All of the orders are finished and ready to be collected so please remember to bring along your order number when you pop in today!

We have had a massive few months of prep in the lead up to Christmas preparing every single ham from scratch and an ever busier week getting all of your well over 400 orders prepared and we couldn’t have done any of it without our amazing team and extra helpers we had this year! None of it would be possible without all their hard work, long hours and effort they put into each day to make sure you all have amazing feasts on Christmas Day!

Thank you to every single person who placed a Christmas order this year or popped in store, your support means so much to us! We hope you have a safe and Merry Christmas and a great New Year!
