Some wines are made to be enjoyed. Others become benchmarks.

Our Cri de Coeur Sous Voile Savagnin is one of the most distinctive wines we have ever produced. Crafted in tiny quantities and aged under a veil of yeast in the traditional sous voile style, it is a wine that challenges expectations and rewards curiosity.

Its uniqueness has earned recognition from some of Australia's most respected wine critics, including:

🏆 Finalist, Australian White Wine of the Year at The Real Review Top Wineries of Australia Awards 2026, placing it among the top three white wines in the country.
⭐ Described by leading wine writer Campbell Mattinson as "if you were asked to present to an international grand jury on the glory of fine Australian wine, you would be mad not to request that Crittenden Cri de Coeur Sous Voile be one of your key exhibits. Meet Michael - our new Cellar Door Manager

We’re delighted to welcome Michael to the Crittenden team. He joins us from the Yarra Valley, bringing experience from some of the region’s most respected cellar doors, including Pimpernel, Punt Road and Zonzo. We are very excited to have him on board and would encourage you to pop in and say hi!

And don’t worry, our long standing cellar door manager Ben isn’t going anywhere! You’ll still see him at the Cellar Door, but he will also be working more behind-the-scenes, focused on ensuring your online experience with Crittenden is just as seamless as your visits here.

Father’s Day weekend at Crittenden

We still have availability for both lunch and dinner this Saturday, so there is still time to make plans to celebrate Dad with us.

Sunday lunch is fully booked, however our Terrace will be open for drinks throughout the day. Walk-ins only and weather permitting. *Please note there will be no food service available on the Terrace this Sunday.

Want to add a little surprise for Dad? You can purchase a bottle of Crittenden wine in advance and we will have it waiting on your table when you arrive.

Crittenden gift vouchers are also available and make an easy last-minute Father’s Day gift, whether it is for lunch, a wine tasting or a stay at the Lakeside Villas.

The most important vineyard job happens when there are no grapes. ✂️🍇

It might not look like much is happening in winter, but this is one of the busiest and most important times of the year in the vineyard.
Every vine is carefully hand pruned to prepare it for the season ahead.

Why does it matter?
✂️ It controls how many grapes the vine will produce. Fewer bunches often mean more concentrated flavour and better quality.
🌱 It shapes the vine for healthy growth. Good pruning encourages balanced shoots and improves airflow, helping to keep the vines healthy throughout the growing season.
🍷 It sets the foundation for the next vintage. Long before grapes appear, the decisions made with a pair of secateurs influence the style, balance and quality of the wine that eventually ends up in your glass.

At Crittenden, winter pruning is not just maintenance. It is the first step in crafting every bottle we make.
