What might have been? 🩵🤍
WELL… THAT DIDN’T TAKE LONG!
=================
Just days after being sacked as North Melbourne coach, Alastair Clarkson has apparently started clearing out the wardrobe.
Clarkson was spotted dropping off bags packed with North Melbourne clothing at a Vinnies store in Hampton over the weekend.
Among the donated gear were Kangaroos T-shirts, shorts and jackets, and reportedly even an Indigenous Round warm-up top with Clarkson’s name on the back.
The clean-out comes only days after North Melbourne ended Clarkson’s four-year stint as senior coach, despite him still having a year remaining on his contract.
Clarkson has since spoken publicly about his disappointment with the way his departure was handled, saying he and his family felt “publicly humiliated” by the circumstances surrounding his exit.
Whatever you think about how things ended at North, at least the gear hasn’t ended up in the bin, it’s gone to Vinnies where it can hopefully raise a few dollars and find a new home.
Some North supporters might even be checking the Hampton Vinnies racks pretty closely this week!
Would you buy a piece of Clarko’s old North Melbourne gear if you spotted it at Vinnies?
