Double C Australian Whites Practical, Productive Performance - grass or grain Double C Australian Whites is located Near Dubbo in Central west NSW.

We run the Australian white stud and commercial sheep flock along with a Braford Cattle stud and commercial meat goat operation. Australian Whites were first introduced to our flock in 2013 when we bought 2 rams from the foundation Flock sale - including the top priced flock ram

Prior to the introduction of the Australian white to our flock we had been breeding an easy care shedding sheep very s

imilar to the Australian white based around the white dorper but we were finding it was getting increasingly harder to find Rams suited to our needs. The foundation of our stud began with the purchase of stud ewes from Gamadale Australian whites in Victoria - along with the 2 top priced stud rams. We have since bought several more Rams from Gamadale that have proven to perform well on our country and in our flock

As Prime lamb breeders ourselves we aim to breed an easy-care shedding meat sheep ideal for the prime lamb industry, with quick growth and high meat yields, finished and out the gate by 6-8 months of age. we do not shear or foot trim our sale rams

Current batch of weaners from our commercial flock - weaned yesterday. Around 3 months old. Averaging 31.5 kg out of a native grass paddock All sired by homebred pure Aussie White rams by Gamadale 210313 ‘Rooster’.
Our flock ewes are predominantly Aussie White with some influence from the White Dorper and Ultra White.
We run our rams out with our ewes all year round and scan out the pregnants every few months then rejoin once they have lambed. Aiming for either 2 joinings a year or 3 joinings accross 2 years anything less than this is culled

As this is our commercial flock all male lambs and 3/4s of the ewe lambs are terminal and will be finished and out the gate by 6mths

The ewe lambs that make the grade to be kept will go back into the commercial flock to be joined from 6-8mths of age

155’s sire is out of the same ewe as our Ram Gamadale 210313 ‘rooster’. Rooster has had an incredible impact on our flock both in our purebred breeding ewes and commercial ewes with himself still in use as well as a lot of his sons
