By day we serve up coffee, breakfast, lunch, and house-baked treats. By night we’re pouring wine, we’ve just started a casual and fun dinner thing.

We’ve got small plates, big plates and pizzas too. Make dinner some small picky bits to share, or order just for you. Bring the kids, bring the dogs, friends and family, our first Friday night we had some guest guide dogs in training, that was pretty swell.

A little breather between sittings, and the only photo we managed to take during our first dinner service at The Lanterns.

What an absolutely special night, to see our space buzzing with chatter, warm smiles and familiar faces, so excited and appreciative of the fact we were doing this new thing.

Thank you for making our maiden voyage into night-time service so incredibly memorable!

We’ll be doing it all again next Friday, with bells on!

Friday nights at The Lanterns kick off this week, the 12th June. Here are the details…

~ we’ll be open from 5pm each Friday night
~ two sittings, one at 5pm and the other at 7pm
~ changing seasonal menu - more details to come but think snacks, small plates, large plates, sides, sweets and we may even have pizzas too! We’ll have some dairy and gluten free options, we’ll also be adding some locally caught seafood to this night-time offering. No take-aways available for dinner.

We’ve been asked about night-times for such a long time, it’s such an exciting step and we really look forward to transforming our space into a cozy, candle-lit winter sanctuary, to share with you all!

Olive oil and jarred olives, flavoured by the sea; Lauriston Grove is now back in store.

Vicki and Marco Linardi use organic principles to farm at their coastal property, located on the pristine coastal isthmus know as Hope Beach, South Arm.

Established late last century by the Linardi family, it’s one of the oldest olive groves in Tasmania.

Handpicked using traditional methods, the combination of consistent pure coastal breezes, sea mist, cool dry climate, well-drained sandy loamy soils and natural underground waters are the essential factors resulting in the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil.

Accompany with a loaf of freshly baked bread, on your next platter, or for dressing winter salads and veg, we’re excited to showcase this olive oil on our Friday night dinner menu. Details announced this week!

We’re busily planning the launch of our Friday night service, which we hope to announce the dates of very soon.

In order to extend our hours, we’re also looking to grow our team.

An update on trading times and dinner service…

We’ve got some changes coming up to our trading hours, so we thought we’d put them here to let you know.

From tomorrow, Monday the 18th of May we will be jumping back over to our winter trading hours, closing at 3 pm each day. Our kitchen will remain open until 3 pm.

From Tuesday 26th of May, we will be closing each Tuesday for the remainder of the cooler months.

We thank you all for your overwhelming response to our proposed dinner service. This will be going ahead but we have a little bit to do to organise and prepare. So, these changes to our trade will allow us some space to expand and extend.

It won’t be too far away, and we’re excited to share more with you soon 💃🏽
