We’ve noticed some new faces around here lately, and we couldn’t be more glad you found us. 👋

So we thought, what better time to go back to the beginning.

This is Leo. Born in Italy in 1936, he boarded a boat to Australia at just 25 years old with nothing but ambition and a trade behind him. He chased better pay, north through Alice Springs, Katherine and finally Darwin — working his way up from boilermaker to head foreman before eventually building his own construction company.

But it was one remote job in the heart of cattle country that changed everything. One tender, one build, and a dream was born.

In 1987 Leo made that dream real — purchasing Finniss River Station, 120km southwest of Darwin.
The brand on his cattle? TLV. Theresa Leo Venturin — his mother’s initials, carried on the rumps of thousands of cattle across the Territory. 🤍

Finniss River Station will be conducting fuel reduction burns on Saturday 16th of May starting at Stingray Head on the coast and working east on our boundary fence to su***de corner. Please watch out for Dundee Volunteer Bushfire Brigade Inc. members using the internal tracks and stay safe.
