How’s this for a great family day out in the Margaret River Region 🙌
Start with a short and sweet guided tour of Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. It’s an easy climb for all ages, just 59 steps to the top, and 30 minutes is perfect for the kids. The tower sits more than 100 metres above sea level, so the views across Geographe Bay are amazing. There’s plenty of room for the kids to run around, and the museum is full of interactive bits to keep them busy while they learn.
Then it’s a 10-minute drive to lunch at eaglebaybrewingco, which is set on a working farm looking out over the cape. Cold b**rs brewed on site for the grown-ups, seriously good food, and a pirate ship playground for the kids.
Finish at Meelup Beach, just a short drive down the road that is generally sheltered, shady and shallow, and about as good as a family swim spot gets. It’s a patrolled beach over summer, but always check conditions with Surf Life Saving WA before heading out. 🏖️
