One of my favourite games of self-reflection is looking back at your life in 5 year increments

When I turned 30, I made some huge changes

I quit my banking job of nearly 10 years, sold my home, left a relationship. Essentially threw caution to the wind of all my safety blankets

And went on the biggest run of my life

Little did I know of the massive lessons that were going to be thrown at me or the path unfolding

These last 5 years I have been faced with unexpected experiences and memories I couldn’t predict and I think that is the most valuable lesson. To quite literally buckle up and have faith.

If you are at a place right now in your life that feels scary, or unknown, think of this grey area as your next invisible step to an up-level

When you think of the last 5 years of your life could you have predicted of what was going to happen?

Pairing table 002!
Pesto pasta & Pinot Grigio

Anything pesto related - OBSESSED💚

Years ago when I visited Italy - I tried pesto straight from Genoa & it has haunted me since.

I’ve been trying to recreate something similar but with my own style. Check it out 👀

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Australian Rosé + prosciutto, arugula & goat cheese sourdough pizza with local chilli chutney.

Umm… yum.

This is a new little series I’m starting for a very simple reason: I LOVE to cook, and I love pairing food with wine, beer and even non-alcoholic drinks.

Cooking has always been a passion of mine. It’s a way for me to be creative, but I also love that food can transport you. You can travel from your own kitchen, explore different places and cuisines, and create whatever you’re craving.

It’s also one of my biggest love languages. Cooking for someone is one of the ways I show that I care - let me feed you, let me nourish you.

And pairing is my way of elevating that experience.

So often we eat just to eat. We’re hungry, we fill our bellies and move on. But I see cooking, eating and drinking as an opportunity to slow down. Almost like a meditative practice.

When I intentionally pair a wine with something I’ve made, suddenly I’m paying attention.

It becomes a sensory experience rather than just a meal.

And that is what I want The Pairing Table to be about :)

So… what should I pair next?

Over the weekend I took a massive leap for Fern & Flame. I locked in.

This idea has been stewing in my head for years, and I finally trusted myself enough to seriously start creating the vision.

I’m so excited to watch it unfold and ignite into something beautiful, something I’m truly proud of, and to be able to share this journey with you.

An honourable mention to the wonderful team I had helping and supporting me:

This letter is a personal one... but it's raw and honest.

Two years of trying, starting over, and finally listening when life told us it was time to go home.

Field Note #01

Today I discovered that if you walk slowly enough, the forest becomes a fun scavenger hunt.

Tiny mushrooms everywhere!!

The kind of thing I would have spent hours searching for as a child.

A good reminder that wonder often lives in the places we’re moving too quickly to see.

What do you see when you choose to notice?
