Made it to the poultry show today with 2 minutes to spare! 😅 True Lucy fashion.

We entered 5 birds and made it there with only 2 🤣 It's been a busy few weeks and things just didn't quite go to plan, so something had to give...

The two beautiful Wyandotte girls that did make the trip came home with a couple of first-places. It was great to see so many beautiful birds on display and catch up with fellow poultry enthusiasts.

A great day all round and a nice reminder that sometimes showing up is half the battle!

𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙀𝙜𝙜 𝙒𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩

We've had quite a few enquiries recently about our Guinea Fowl and fertile eggs. Unfortunately, we're currently out of season, so there are no eggs available right now.

As someone who loves a good list and keeping things organised, we'll be introducing a waiting list for the upcoming season!

I'm just putting the finishing touches on our online form and will share it over the next few days. We'll be offering it to our followers first, so keep an eye on our page if you'd like to be among the first to join.

Thank you so much for your continued support and interest in our little farm. We can't wait for another great breeding season!

The countdown is on... and true to form, we've probably bitten off more than we can chew! 🤣

Noodle is adjusting well. He's really starting to settle in the show pen and has figured out that stepping into the box = treat time

The treat routine isn't just about keeping him on his best behaviour during judging — it's about slowly introducing him to all the noise, movement and general chaos that comes with a show environment. Because let's be honest... even we get a little overwhelmed by it all!

Last season taught us a lot… mainly that trying to keep track of everything in our heads (or scattered notes or an outdated Excel file 😅) just doesn’t cut it when you’re running a busy farm.

So we built our own solution…

Introducing our Farm Manager App – designed by us, for real day-to-day farm life.
We tried the apps already out there, but they just didn’t quite do what we needed… important info was getting missed, and that’s not something we can afford when breeding and managing stock.

Now? Nothing gets overlooked.

From egg tracking and income/expenditure to treatments, withdrawals, hatch reminders and more – it’s all in one place, clear and easy to manage.

And timing couldn’t be better…
We’re gearing up to expand this season with a few new colours that have been quietly cruising along, getting ready to join the breeding pens

Bigger plans, better systems, and a whole lot more organisation this year.

Who else struggles with keeping everything on track on the farm? 🙋‍♀️

For anyone interested, once I finish loading all the test data, I’ll post a full video demo.

Two gorgeous keets looking for their new coop.
These are a unique and beautiful colour variation with their soft peach colouring and striking red eyes.
Please note:
Although ours do well in a large flock free ranging during the day, Red eyed Guineas are known to have impaired eyesight, which means they are more vulnerable to predators. Because of this, they are best suited to a secure coop or enclosed run where they can be protected.
