Full modification to these “Strip Tiller” tynes, customer wanted a solution to the original point that wasn’t lasting very well. The original point had a tungsten tile in the leading edge and sat very flat wearing the heel off the shank and around the back tile, the tile would just snap off and the point was gone in no time.

A great example of how you can get the most out of your direct drill points.
These points came in at brand new for the short run of TACER you can see to stop the wash behind the tile, roughly 8 thousand acres later they come back for another touch up.

just because they're worn doesn't mean we can't get more out of them.

Tungsten tiles are a great thing, but not in every application.
Stoney/rocky country and tiles don’t mix. As shown below, it starts with it chipping the corner and ends with notjibg Left.

Luckily there’s other Hardfacing applications available.

over 24 years ago Humps went to work on hard facing Murray River Councils "road reclaimer" (road mixer). The drum in these things spins at a rate of knots with some very high ware areas.
over the years TACER has seen a number of these machines roll in and out, with this flash new one being completed late last year.

The latest machine came in with just 180 hours, and check out the ware already.

Same ENOR disc plough. Same work length/ground covered.

A great example of how "TACER" hard facing has kept the edge and held the Scollop of the disc which in turn keeps the depth of dig and quality of cultivation.
