It's not the prettiest part of flower farming, but it's one of the most important.

When we decided we wanted to expand our growing space and open our farm up for pick your own flower events, we made the call to completely redo the flower field.

And before we could plant a single seedling, we needed to get irrigation in the ground. Days of trenching, laying pipe and plenty of dirt later, we're one step closer to a field full of flowers.

Now to get the plants in the ground! 🌱🪻

Update from the veggie patch and things are starting to come along 🌱

This is the first bed we planted in February and we've started harvesting spinach, lettuce and loads of pak choi. We so look forward to planning our meals around what's in season in the garden!

And just as it all came into flower… we ripped it out 😫

It felt slightly depressing pulling it all so early after months of work, patience and plenty of stress.
But out with the old, in with the new and we're so ready to get it right next time.

Can't wait to share what the field is looking like now 🌱
