The Food Shed - Enmore Providing affordable groceries to those in need. We source our products from FoodBank NSW & ACT and We also hope to foster a more connected community.

An initiative of Enmore Church of the Nazarene who's aim is to provide small amounts of affordable groceries which including fresh bread and fresh seasonal produce to the community as they become available through our supplier. We source our products from FoodBank NSW & ACT and work in partnership with NazCare Inc. All monies raised go back into purchasing more products and maintaining this servic

e for our clients. It is our desire to see an Australia without hunger and to look after the 'least of these' in our community through one of the basic essentials for life....food. We welcome the assistance of volunteers, on a casual basis, or regularly, every Thu to assist with unloading our delivery from Foodbank, and re-stocking shelves. Or, if you're available, Sat mornings, we begin setting up around 8/8.30am, and then pack up around 11.30am. In 1976, volunteers transformed a 60-year-old army depot into a place where everyone could celebrate their culture freely.

Today, we carry that legacy forward, advocating for human rights through food, services, care, and community.

Join us on Saturday, 17 October (10:30am to 2pm) for a multicultural and diversity birthday fiesta featuring local markets and entertainment. It’s our way of saying thank you for five decades of support.

“In 1976, an old army depot in Marrickville was adopted by the community. Volunteers cleaned and repaired the huts by hand and turned them into halls, studios and kitchens. Fifty years on, Addi Road is still doing that work.

The food pantry helps people through the cost-of-living crisis every week. Wednesday Night Lights offers a free meal, with outreach from Marrickville Legal Centre, Orange Sky Australia and others. Addi Moves runs free, trauma-informed exercise sessions for refugee and asylum seeker communities, delivered with universities and health researchers.

On Thursday 6 August, MP Jo Haylen recognised the milestone in NSW Parliament, calling Addi Road a story of country, migration, community and hope.

Thank you to Vivi Germanos, Rosanna Barbero and every person who has kept the doors open for 50 years.
