Last weekend we got to celebrate an exciting family milestone, returning to Toowoomba Royal Show after a 22 year break for the 2025 Droughtmaster Feature Show.
We were so proud of how both the stud and commercial carcass cattle stood up to the some incredibly tough competition and even more difficult weather conditions.
Results:
1st Individual Weight Gain (3.18kg per day) and 3 of our steers tying for 2nd and 2 tying for 3rd

Led Steers- Mt Brisbane Mario, 2nd open led steers class and 3rd Droughtmaster class, Johnny and Alfred Both placed 3rd in their open led steer classes
Thank you to Mort & Co for feeding the steers and JBS Dinmore for processing and grading the cattle, it was very trying conditions with the cattle entering and exiting in flooded miserable rain events.
Another huge thanks to the Droughtmaster Australia for putting on an amazing competition and all the sponsors and exhibitors for turning out in trying conditions and supporting this venture.
Huge congratulations to Kilkivan P-10 State School Cattle Club Team for preparing and showing our three steers, Showing incredible sportsmanship and herdsman skills in very trying weather.
Downlands College did an amazing job with two stud heifers, showing excellent skills in paraders and handlers. A very special moment for Bruce as his eldest took to the ring with Mt Brisbane Poppy, proudly wearing his downlands show team uniform.
