After more than 20 years of serving members, guests, locals and regular holiday makers, Harryโs Restaurant will mark an important moment in its history following Steve and Adaโs final dinner service on Sunday 14 June 2026.
First established by Harry Tse as Harryโs Rainbow Chinese Restaurant, Harryโs became a much-loved part of Ettalong Bowling Club and a favourite with the local community.
In 2014, Jason Lam took over the restaurant, and the word โRainbowโ was dropped from the name. Steve and Ada then took over from Jason in September 2022, proudly continuing the Harryโs Restaurant tradition.
From homemade dim sims, spring rolls and prawn toast, to local favourites including Harryโs Rainbow Steak and Pork Chops with Plum Sauce, Harryโs has created many memories around the table over the years.
Steve and Ada will now take a well-earned break to travel back to China and spend time with family, something they have not had the opportunity to do for many years.
Following their break, Steve and Ada will return to work with Ettalong Bowling Club as valued members of the Club team, continuing their long-standing connection with the Club, its members and the local community.
Ettalong Bowling Club sincerely thanks Steve and Ada for their contribution and the care they have shown to members and guests.
Importantly, the legacy of Harryโs Restaurant will continue at Ettalong Bowling Club.
As the Club continues to strengthen its dining experience through The Springwood Brasserie, there may be opportunities to honour Harryโs legacy by celebrating some of the familiar menu favourites and well-known dishes that members have enjoyed over the years.
We understand there has been a lot of change across the Club recently, and we want to reassure our members and guests that Ettalong Bowling Club is open, operating and moving forward.
