I have a feeling you are almost a proud owner of a little jar of vegetable stock paste? So let me tell you a little something about it. It is brewed from beautiful and incredibly fresh vegetables and herbs. I try and buy as much as possible from local backyard growers, and everything is totally organic and full of goodness. It is gluten free, dairy free and preservative free - no nasties so you ca

n relax! The stock comes in the form of a paste, so a tablespoon or 2 of the paste is perfect for your meal. And your little jar will make many many meals, and make them absolutely delicious! I use it to flavour soups, curries, stir-fries, risotto, quinoa, stew, cous cous.. feel free to get a bit experimental and tell me how it goes! You can find me at local markets or select retailers:

PATCH has been keeping a low profile this 2016, available at just a few faithful organic stores 🙌🏽. I have been volunteering in the Philippines teaching young deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing people about organic farming. What started as a 6 month adventure has turned into a year long exchange. The 25 year old farmer whom I work closest with is my absolute rock, and words cannot describe the love I have in my heart for the Philippines and its people. I have just over a month here left, and then I'll be back stronger than ever, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, cooking beautiful PATCH with beautiful produce! 🌴🌴🌴

Alot of people think that buying organic food is best because no chemicals have been sprayed on them. This is very true but there is so many other reasons! What I'm going to talk about today is minerals. If the mineral isn't present in the SOIL, it is highly likely it won't be present in your food. For example- ZINC. Zinc is a little mineral that is often not considered in 'modern' farming, and is probably barely present in your supermarket produce. But Zinc is so important for prostate and breast health (which just so happens to be Australia's 2 largest cancers).
So here's to organic mineral-dense happy food! (And happy frogs!) xx
