First time in a few years I haven’t been able to have my site at the Jamestown show. But my animals come first and after a couple of dramas on Friday on the farm my first priority is my animals. To kick of the long weekend I had a baby born early Friday morning in the cold rain and wind and ended up with hypothermia. Lots of hair drying / electric blankets and warm bottled colostrum/milk it came back to life and now doing well. After lunch I noticed one of my other girls in labour with just a foot emerging. Vet called out and prognosis for the baby wasn’t good. Baby was quite twisted inside and wasn’t expected to survive the birth. Finally baby was delivered and she took a breath and has beaten the odds and was alive. Unfortunately mum ended up with 2/3 of her uterus completely torn and didn’t survive. Am now bottle feeding her baby and so far is going well. To top of my day my son had a bad stack of his motorbike and had a badly damaged knee which I can’t get assessed until after the long weekend 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😩😩 sooo wish I was at the Jamestown show but family/animals have to come first. Sometimes the hard decisions have to be made to stay home and look after family/animals.

This years autumn babies have grown up 🥰🥰 now waiting for the spring babies to arrive.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything but life and animals tend to keep me busy. We are right in the middle of baby season with 4 Cria on the ground with 5 more to go. We also have some alpacas for sale with a few boys that are at the perfect age to guard your sheep and lambs. Pm me for more details.
