The winner is Sunny!!! Thank you so much Hannah Jewell I’ll PM you to organise your chook collection. Thanks so much everyone, we absolutely loved all of the names you suggested! It was so hard to choose but we decided Sunny was a perfect match to our other pup Luna. Thank you all so much.

Competition time team! - today we have welcomed this fella onto our farm and we need help naming him. He is a maremma pup who will grow very large and live with our other maremmas and chickens keeping foxes and eagles at bay.
A free chook to be collected at either Willunga Farmers Market, Adelaide Farmers Market or our farm for the best name either posted here or sent via DM by Friday 15th.
Will the name beat our daughter’s picks so far 🤞 (please do - so far we have blueberry, sparkle unicorn and fluffy cakes 😬).
His brothers also pictured who tomorrow head off to their new homes.

Chicken Schnitzel 👌 YUM.
One of our family favourites, everyone gets involved.
Now Tom says that everyone knows how to make schnitzel but honestly, I didnt so this post is for everyone like me! 🤣

Cut Nomad Chicken Breast lengthwise into thick slabs (remove skin).
Dust in flour both sides, then egg, then breadcrumbs (we used panko tonight).
Fry it in oil or fat (we used our beef tallow) until golden brown and cooked through (it’s actually less time than you think).
And enjoy 😊

Nomad cattle & 100% grass fed & grass finished. They are moved onto fresh pasture regularly, a well considered grazing program to benefit land, animal & human health. Here is a small mob on the move, calm as can be 👌

We don’t often prioritize the time to move stock on horseback, it’s much quicker to jump on the quad, but the benefits of horseback are many. It’s (generally) pretty calm & controlled movement, the cattle respond in a calm, low stress manner, you can move through the mob easily, there is better access to rough terrain which came in handy yesterday, its good exercise for us and the horses, it’s so peaceful without the engines you can hear each other and animals left behind and well… it’s bloody fun!

Charlie & Jolene seem to love having a job to do too
