Thank you for all your support and patience, and for sharing our petition and all your encouraging comments - it’s been most heartening!

I am pleased to announce that I have now resolved the dispute with Fremantle Markets. I won’t go into the details as it was resolved on a confidential basis.

I have sold my business at the Fremantle Markets and Levi’s Doughnuts will continue trading there under new ownership.

My long term staff member Sunsanee (Toon), who has worked with me for 9.5 years, is taking over the business.

I’m excited and totally confident that she will continue the high standard that has kept customers returning since we started in early 2009.

I hope you all continue supporting Levi’s Doughnuts at Fremantle Markets into the future.

I’ll be developing the Levi’s Doughnuts business elsewhere at some point in the near future and I’ll keep you all posted as soon as I have details.

THE FIGHT GOES ON!

Unfortunately we were unable to come to a resolution at the mediation on Thursday, so the fight goes on!

We have been blown away by all your support, shares and comments - it is so appreciated - and we’re going to continue to need your support for the next chapter.

Below are the contact details for Mayor Brad Pettit and all Fremantle councillors - it’s unfair to expect our little business to fight FMPL on our own. We are calling on the City of Fremantle to step in and make sure the private market operator treats traders fairly and honours its legal obligations. The markets are a public asset owned by the Council (the City of Fremantle) and they should be providing oversight to ensure the fair treatment of all traders by market management.

Dear customers and supporters,

My 10 loyal years serving doughnuts at the market could end soon. But you can help by signing this petition, and leaving a comment of support if you wish too.

The market’s private operator Fremantle Markets Pty Ltd has given me an eviction notice, for no stated reason. This arrived shortly after I voiced support for a market traders' association.

Please ask Fremantle Markets to reconsider its decision so we can continue to serve our delicious doughnuts.
