From now on, cash is our preferred method of payment. 💵

Now before anyone panics 😂 YES, you can absolutely still pay by card!

But here’s the thing…

Every single time you tap that card, we pay a fee. And as of October 1 we can no longer pass that fee on, but it doesn't disappear it now lands soley on us.

One transaction doesn’t seem like much, but thousands and thousands of transactions over a year? It adds up. A LOT.

And like every small business, we’re constantly trying to find ways to keep our costs down without simply passing every increase straight onto you.

So this is us asking for a little help. 💜

If you have cash in your wallet, or you’re happy to grab some on your way in, we would genuinely appreciate you choosing cash when you can.

And to make it a little easier, there are 2 ATMs located right at the front of our shop mall.

No pressure.
No judgement if you tap.
And we're certainly not going cash-only.

Just a small change that, with the support of our customers, could make a pretty big difference to a little independent café like ours.

Because we'd much rather see that money stay in Love & Karma, paying our staff, buying our produce, improving our little shop and supporting other local businesses than disappear in transaction fees.

We took a Sunday roast and turned it into a toastie… You’re welcome 🤤

Meet the Roast Melt, tender roast beef, rocket, fetta, melty cheese and all that rich, comforting goodness of sweet chilli and sour cream packed between golden toasted sourdough.

It’s hearty. It’s messy. It’s ridiculously good.

Basically Sunday lunch, without waiting for Sunday.

A little labour of love 💜

Lately I’ve been spending a little extra time in the kitchen, working on perfecting my cinnamon scrolls and custard buns, and I think we might be onto something.

Soft, fluffy, buttery cinnamon scrolls with that generous swirl of cream cheese icing and custard buns filled with creamy custard, berries and just the right amount of sweetness.

There’s something pretty satisfying about making something over and over, tweaking it a little each time, until you finally stand back and think...

Yep. That’s the one 😀

Made from scratch, made with a ridiculous amount of care, and now making their way into the cabinet at Love & Karma. 💜

Because choosing favourites is completely acceptable when pastries are involved 🤣
