Good morning everyone! Today's Monday 31 Aug - we've just started with a brand new week & we are glad that we recharged ourselves with a very lovely walk in gorgeous Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park yesterday, and it was a very beautiful sunny day, so so nice... I hope you all enjoyed your Sunday too?

Kaiserstuhl was new to us thanks to my partner who discovered it - we loved our one hour Stringybark track which was a loop, we got to see beautiful plants, a little creek which we came across here and there during the walk, heaps massive rocks of assorted shapes like sculptures and a couple of adorable kangaroos too (including a mother with her joey in her pouch)! Spring is such a beautiful season as the plants grow so nicely with lots of flowers being proud & showy - the idea for a walk like what we did in Kaiserstuhl was absolutely great for body and soul 😍

One of regular customers bought a medium serve with chilli & a drink (can of coke), she was wearing a pair of sunnies, she sat on the chair waiting for her t/a. sorry I cannot remember her name. If you are the customer & see this, pls message this page, thank you so much! 😊

Morning everyone, today's Tuesday 25Aug - I've just heard the radio saying the frequent rain will finally have a break soon & the temperature will be around 19 or 20 degrees for the rest of this week (yay!) Well, hopefully the weather forecast will be 100% correct as I really really miss the gorgeous weather of the past Sunday! 💕

Good morning, everyone :) Today's Monday 24 Aug - I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather yesterday?

Yesterday we had a catchup with our friends in Lyndoch then we proudly took friends to the gorgeous Altona Reserve which we fell in love with during our first visit 2 or 3 weeks ago (I shared a couple of photos in a post on this page back then, definately worth a visit if you're new to it) 💕

When a child writes me a lovely message at my shop - potentially it is an opportunity for me to learn more English as a migrant, whether it be a new vocabulary, a new phrase or an Aussie slang... I have just reread one of the messages from yesterday, I realised I was described as "being the GOAT at making dumplings", straight away I was like "Was it supposed to be 'good at making dumplings' instead, due to a spelling error??"

Out of curiosity, I took phone out & checked on Google page - Then I realised that "being the goat at doing something" is actually an expression in English!! WOW! 🤗

There you go - a new thing is learnt from reading a very cutely written message from one of the children yesterday - Yes I always learn, honestly I have been keeping a little notebook in my shop - its where I write down new words, new idioms or phrases if I hear customers saying it 😉 (Mind you, not always nice words tho... Shhhhh! 🤣🤣🤣)

Today I had a Riverton customer who was a mum & she brought her 5 beautiful children to my shop, for the very first time - they came to visit & honestly had a big dumpling party (I'm serious when I say "a dumpling party", as she ordered 3 LARGE serves for everyone to share). From memory most of the children were quite young including a baby. Some of them were a bit shy, but they were encouraged to greet me & even learn to order food & buy bottles of water at the counter - I was so impressed that these children were very polite and also quite appreciative of the food I cooked. Watching them devouring the last pieces of dumplings together at table made me smile and feel very proud of my small one man show business! 😊 While I was cooking, I even heard the mum saying to the children "I'm glad you all are trying something different for lunch today and that's a great thing" ❤️

When they were getting ready to leave, the mum encouraged them to work as a team with different tasks allocated to each of them such as collecting all the used chopsticks, wiping the table, picking up the tiny food scraps that fell onto the floor around their chairs... They were happily doing all those things togther and they even said "Thank you" to me upon departure from my shop💕 Some of the boys smiled at me, gave me big thumbs up & told me that they would definately come back, and definately want to have their bday parties in my shop - well, that was absolutely cute and again I really appreciate customers like the mum & her children who had joy from something a bit different and the memory making experience as a family was quite touching to me, it has become a special part of my day too...

As I opened my little red post box prior I shut my shop, hand written messages from them was such a lovely surprise & the words simply warmed my heart...

Good morning everyone! Today's 17 Aug Monday - hope you all had a relaxing weekend?

Yesterday (Sunday) my partner and I had a great time with friends for a lunch and an exhibition together (thanks to our friend's friend Nina who is an artist and kindly invited us to exhibition which was amazing!). We all enjoyed our experiences in beautiful Barossa Canteen & had a lovely time checking out all the artworks from different artists at the gallery in Seppeltsfield 😊 (Photos are attached if you are interested in flicking thru 😉)

Can't believe it's already the weekend - Today's Saturday 15 Aug (Yay! I get excited as tomorrow will be a fun day for us with friends!!) 😊
